My Go-To Makeup Products

Hello lovely’s! I’ve noticed in some pictures I’ve posted, there are comments asking for what eyeliner or foundation I’m using. I’ve decided to just do an updated version of my favorite eye and face products that I use on a regular basis. I’ll go step-by-step to describe each product and why I chose them! Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 10.58.11 PM.png

For The Eyes:

Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette’

This palette is definitely my go-to! It has a variety of shades from neutrals, shimmers, to daring bright hues. When I’m going for a warm-tone or brown smokey eye, I use the shades Soft Peach and Morocco, which are the first top two shades. They are the perfect subtle colors to start a warm crease.

Lorac Unzipped Eye Shadow Palette

This is such an amazing palette. The shimmers, the golds! To die for! I use this with the previous palette I talked about. After my crease, I go in with Unreal and pack it all over my lid for the perfect golden-bronzy look. I then go with Unbridled which is this gorgeous deep maroon-brown shade. I use this color under my crease and above my lid, making sure not to cover the colors I previously had on my crease. I also make sure to focus this color towards the end of my eye rather all over my crease.

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara in Carbon Black

I have been using this mascara for years and years and it is my all-time fave! I never switch to any other mascaras. My eyelashes are pretty long to be honest, but they arent as thick. With just one or two coats, it makes my eyes look bigger and I have lashes for days!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo

It’s true when they say when it comes to brows, you can’t go wrong with Anastasia! Now my brows are pitch black and thick so it’s really hard for me to find a color to match my brows but aren’t too dark and natural looking. This powder applies so easily and makes your brows look so natural.

For The Face:

Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk

This moisturizer is simply amazing! It makes your skin so soft and plump. When I want a dewy glowy look, I definitely use this before I apply my primer.

Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer

My holy grail! Goodbye pores and fine lines! It also smells amazing!! This makes my foundation go on so easily and flawlessly.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation

As I’ve said in a previous blog post, finding the right foundation for my skin has been so hard. Thankfully, a girl at Sephora showed me this and it matched me so well and this is full coverage matte which is what I prefer. This foudation is for sure the best one I’ve ever used.

MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in Light Boost

For a bright under-eye, I always use this with my Real Techniques Sponge and it blends beautifully and gives me a natural bright look.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

I cannot live without this product. Before I would use the Banana powder in the Anastasia Contour Kit, but it was too yellow for me and with camera flash, it would show. The Laura Mercier powder has no color in-person or camera flash. It makes my makeup last and feels so light and airy on my skin.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Now I do use this contour kit just to contour. I use the first and second contour shade and the color is perfect for me because it’s not too orange-y, rather more of a grayish-tone.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer

To bronze my face, I use this bronzer. It’s waterproof which I love, and it’s also light and gives me a natural glow.

Becca Highlight in Opal

Can we say highlight on fleeeeeeek?! I apply this above my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, my upper lip, brow bone, and above the brow to lift. This color is so beautiful with the perfect amount of golds and pinks.

Urban Decay All-Nighter Spray

Need I say more? From the AM to PM, my makeup looks exactly the same because of this. Even after working out. Yes, I know you’ve put some makeup, even BB Cream while working out 🙂 Give about 4 sprays, and you’re good to go all day!

Holiday Nails

There are so many beautiful red nail polishes, but only a few gems are the perfect reds for the holidays! I find myself leaning more towards the darker reds, and purple-reds for the holidays. Wear all white or black and match your nails to your lipstick for the perfect holiday look!

Happy Holidays! xo

Red Lippy & Brown Smokey Eyes

Yee I busted out the red lipstick for this look! I haven’t worn red lipstick in about 2 years and would mostly lean towards the darker burgundy colors, but I finally got my hands on this bright red lipstick and I am in love! This lipstick is blue-toned, which also makes your teeth appear whiter, yes, yes, yes. I paired this lipstick with a light smokey brown eye look. I decided to skip falsies this time because I didn’t want a too dramatic eye look. This is me just playing around with makeup and trying different looks. It’s still a learning process, I’m trying my best! Makeup details posted below!

Ingredients:

Morphe Brushes Vegan Brush Kit

Morphe Brushes 35 Color Warm Palette

MAC Eyeshadows (Vanilla, Shroom, Soft Brown, All That Glitters, Embark)

ELF Gel Liner

L’Oréal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara

EOS Lip Balm

MAC Kiss Me Quick Lip Liner

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick

Let’s Make:

Using the Angled Blender Brush, I mix Vanilla, 1 and 2 all over the lid. I like to begin with a nude-y base. Using the Deluxe Shadow Brush, I mix All That Glitters and 3 over the lid again. Using the Deluxe Blending Crease Brush, I grab Soft Brown and apply right on my crease to have some definition. I apply this light in circling motions. Using a smaller crease brush, I apply Embark right under my crease and on the outer edge of my lid creating a sideways “v” shape. I then go back with the Deluxe Blending Crease Brush which still has some of the Soft Brown on it, I go back and blend the brown out more so there are no harsh lines. Using the Flat Liner Brush, I apply Embark on my lower lid, creating a smokey effect. I add over the brown with the same brush and blend it out. Using the Mini Concealer Brush, I apply Shroom in the inner corner of my eyes, right near my tear duct. With the same brush I add the gold shadow from the palette around my tear duct. I line my lids with the ELF Liner very lightly just to create some dimension, and also in the water line. I then apply the L’Oréal mascara, followed by the Make Up For Ever Mascara for more length. On to the lips! Apply any kind of lip balm. My favorite is any of the EOS lip balms because they smell so darn good! Then I line my lips with Kiss Me Quick, over lining just a little bit on my cupids bow and the bottom middle of the lower lip. Last but not least, apply Ruby Woo over the entire lip (this lipstick smells so good!). So I hope this helped and you guys enjoyed creating this look and learning with me! What other looks should I try?!

The Bronzy, Glowy, Dewy Makeup Look

Hello my loves!

So recently I have been loving that bronzed and dewy look. Although it’s fall, I still love it. I think no matter any season, this look will always look amaze! I bought new makeup recently and you know what that meant? Playtime! Now I am nowhere near a makeup artist or even think I am talented at doing makeup, but it’s still a learning process for me, and below I will be breaking down the steps on achieving the bronzy, dewy look, just like in the pictures below. I will be organizing these makeup steps as easy as possible for you ladies, and hopefully this helps!

Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up!

Let’s Begin!

First I like to spray my face with the NYX Cosmetics Dewy Finish Setting Spray for that dewy look and also priming my face. I then put a small amount of the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream on my Blending Sponge and apply to my face for a smooth canvas :). Ladies remember to always use your blending sponges damp! This will help with that whole dewy look. Next I use my Morphe Brushes MB36 Duo Blender (any foundation brush would work) and spray my NYX spray directly on the brush. I then apply my Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation on my brush and apply to my face in circles. Next I use the  MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter and highlight above my cheekbone, above my jawline, and on my forehead. I blend all this with the Morphe Brushes MB12 Pointed Foundation/Buffer. Using my Real Techniques Setting Brush, I apply the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Refill (Banana) under my eyes and above my cheekbones. Then I apply the NARS Bronzing Powder (Casino) using the Morphe Brushes M462 Duo Powder Dome, while sucking my cheeks in a little bit. Using the same bronzing powder, I use the Morphe Brushes MB4 Angle Blush/Contour to contour on my temples, forehead, jawline, and nose. Using the Morphe Brushes BK3 Chisel Blush I apply the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (Bronze)Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (Bronze) the same way I applied the bronzer. Next using the Morphe Brushes S23 Deluxe Fan Brush I apply MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Soft & Gentle) on the apples of my cheeks. Using my ring finger, I apply Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up! above where I applied my bronzer. Lastly, I spray my face the the NYX Spray one more time to lock that dewy look. Phew! That was a lot of makeup and information. If my boyfriend is reading this, this is why I take forever getting ready, haha! Anyway, I hope this helped you ladies. Happy bronzing! Muah!

Favorite Nudes

No matter what season it is, or what I am wearing, or what event, I always find myself wearing one of many nude lipsticks I have. It has become an obsession! Of course, MAC nude lipsticks will always be my all-time fave, but I’ve managed to sneak in some other great brands. I love true nudes and pink nudes with depth. They match any type of makeup look and are so versatile. The liners I use with my nude lipsticks are: MAC Stripdown, MAC Oak, and MAC Whirl. Pair your favorite nudes with a clear or light pink gloss and you’re all set!
